Methods of image processing can recognize the images of melanoma lesions border in addition to the disease compared to a skilled dermatologist. New swarm intelligence technique depends on meta-heuristic that is industrialized to resolve composite real problems which are problematic to explain by the available deterministic approaches. For an accurate detection of all segmentation and classification of skin lesions, some dealings should be measured which contain, contrast broadening, irregularity quantity, choice of most optimal features, and so into the world. The price essential for the action of progressive disease cases is identical high and the survival percentage is low. Many electronic dermoscopy classifications are advanced depend on the grouping of form, surface and dye features to facilitate premature analysis of malignance. To overcome this problematic, an effective prototypical for accurate boundary detection and arrangement is obtainable. The projected classical recovers the optimization segment of accuracy in its pre-processing stage, applying contrast improvement of lesion area compared to the contextual. In conclusion, optimized features are future fed into of artifical bee colony (ABC) segmentation. Wide-ranging researches have been supported out on four databases named as, ISBI (2016, 2017, 2018) and PH2. Also, the selection technique outclasses and successfully indifferent the dismissed features. The paper shows a different process for lesions optimal segmentation that could be functional to a variation of images with changed possessions and insufficiencies is planned with multistep pre-processing stage

Transmitting audio via fiber optics under nonlinear effects and optimized tuning parameters based on Co-simulation of matlab and optisystemTM

Limitations of conventional wires such as copper wires are causing dispersion and distortion of the message signal for long distances communication especially for the wide bandwidths. The ability of fiber optic to overcome this problem is making it a dominant transmission medium. Despite of this major positive attribute of optic fibers, there is still a downside for using the fiber optic communication; that is the nonlinearity problem especially at the very high frequency bandwidth. For the first time, a desigen of an audio signal is suggested and executed in MatLab with an integration with OptiSystemTM software to discuss and solve this issu. The audio signal is then transmitted in different shapes of modulation signals (NRZ, RZ & RC) for different distances (100 km & 75 km) via a fiber optic media to be received in a receiving part of the simulated system. Three tests are used to do so. The first is the Quality-factor (Q-Factor) against the received power, second test is eye diagram performance and finally is the measuring of the amplitude of output (received) signal for each modulation signal shape using the Oscilloscope Visualizer. The NZR modulation signal was found to be the best one of the three used signals’ types in all three tests. The Q-factor for NRZ pulse shape (=12) was higher than that for RZ (=10) and RC (=8) for a 100 km distance at the same received power level

On the Production of π+π+\pi^+\pi^+ Pairs in pp Collisions at 0.8 GeV

Data accumulated recently for the exclusive measurement of the ppppπ+πpp\to pp\pi^+\pi^- reaction at a beam energy of 0.793 GeV using the COSY-TOF spectrometer have been analyzed with respect to possible events from the ppnnπ+π+pp \to nn\pi^+\pi^+ reaction channel. The latter is expected to be the only ππ\pi\pi production channel, which contains no major contributions from resonance excitation close to threshold and hence should be a good testing ground for chiral dynamics in the ππ\pi\pi production process. No single event has been found, which meets all conditions for being a candidate for the ppnnπ+π+pp \to nn \pi^+\pi^+ reaction. This gives an upper limit for the cross section of 0.16 μ\mub (90% C.L.), which is more than an order of magnitude smaller than the cross sections of the other two-pion production channels at the same incident energy

Ammonium nitrogen is the most important form of nitrogen that can cause excessive algal growth and stimulate eutrophication in surface water. The purpose of this study is to investigate the possibility of removing ammonium from drinking water by means of an ion Exchange process. Polymeric Lewatit S100 material (particle-size 0.3–1.2 mm) was used. The breakthrough capacity was determined by dynamic laboratory investigations and the concentration of regenerant solution (5 and 10 % NaCl) was investigated. The concentration of ammonium ion inputs in the tap water that we used were 10, 5 and 2 mg NH4+ l_1 and down to levels below 0.5 mg NH4 + l_1. The experimental results show that the breakthrough capacity was very small at ammonium concentration 2 mg NH4 + l_1 compared to its breakthrough capacity at ammonium concentration 10 mg NH4 + l_1. There was no difference between regeneration by 10 and 5 % NaCl. We conclude that the use of Lewatit S100 is an attractive and promising method for ammonium concentration greater than 5 mg NH4 + l_1 and till 10 mg NH4 + l_1

Purpose To determine the correlation of the results of conventional B-mode ultrasonography (US) and compression sonoelastography with histologic results in common flexor tendons of the elbow in human cadavers. Materials and Methods Twenty-five common flexor tendons were evaluated in 16 fresh, unembalmed cadavers of 11 women with a median age of 85 years (range, 71-101 years) and five men with a median age of 78 years (range, 70-88 years). Informed consent was provided according to the last will of the donors. B-mode US results were classified as grade 1, normal tendon with homogeneous fibrillar pattern; grade 2, tendon thickening or hypoechoic areas and/or calcifications in less than 30% of the tendon; or grade 3, hypoechoic areas and/or calcifications greater than 30% of the tendon. Sonoelastographic results were grade 1, blue (hardest) to green (hard); grade 2, yellow (soft); and grade 3, red (softest). The intraclass correlation coefficient was calculated to determine agreement with histologic findings for each B-mode US, sonoelastographic, and combined B-mode US and sonoelastographic examination. Histologic results were grade 1, normal, with parallel fibrillar pattern; grade 2, mild tendinopathy, with cellular infiltration, angiogenesis, or fatty vacuoles; or grade 3, severe tendinopathy, with loss of parallel collagen structure and necrosis. Results Histologic alterations were detected in 44% (11 of 25) of biopsy specimens. Intraclass correlation with histologic results was 0.57 for B-mode US, 0.68 for sonoelastography, and 0.84 for the combination of the two approaches. Conclusion The addition of sonoelastography to B-mode US provided statistically significant improvement in correlation with histologic results compared with the use of B-mode US alone (P \u3c .02). In most countries today the removal of ammonium ions from drinking water has become almost a necessity. The natural zeolite clinoptiloliteis mined commercially in many parts of the world. It is a selective exchanger for the ammonium cation, and this has prompted its use in water treatment, wastewater treatment, swimming pools and fish farming. The work described in this paper provides dynamic data on cation exchange processes in clinoptilolite involving the NH4 +, Ca+2 and Mg+2 cations. We used material of natural origin – clinoptilolite from Nižný Hrabovec in Slovakia (particle-size 3–5 mm). The breakthrough capacity was determined by dynamic laboratory investigations, and we investigated the influence of thermal pretreatment of clinoptilolite and the concentration of regenerant solution (2, 5, and 10% NaCl). The concentrations of ammonium ion inputs in the tap water that we used were 10, 5, and 2 mg NH4 + l_1 and down to levels below 0.5 mg NH4 + l_1. The experimental results show that repeated pretreatment sufficiently improves the zeolite’s properties, and the structure of clinoptilolite remains unchanged during the loading and regeneration cycles. Ammonium removal capacities were increased by approximately 40 % and 20 % for heat-treated zeolite samples. There was no difference between the regenerates for 10% and 5% NaCl. We conclude that the use of zeolite is an attractive and promising method for ammonium removal

Performance comparison of heuristic algorithms for task scheduling in IaaS cloud computing environment

    Get PDF
Cloud computing infrastructure is suitable for meeting computational needs of large task sizes. Optimal scheduling of tasks in cloud computing environment has been proved to be an NP-complete problem, hence the need for the application of heuristic methods. Several heuristic algorithms have been developed and used in addressing this problem, but choosing the appropriate algorithm for solving task assignment problem of a particular nature is difficult since the methods are developed under different assumptions. Therefore, six rule based heuristic algorithms are implemented and used to schedule autonomous tasks in homogeneous and heterogeneous environments with the aim of comparing their performance in terms of cost, degree of imbalance, makespan and throughput. First Come First Serve (FCFS), Minimum Completion Time (MCT), Minimum Execution Time (MET), Maxmin, Min-min and Sufferage are the heuristic algorithms considered for the performance comparison and analysis of task scheduling in cloud computing
